2025 Spring News

SPRING 2025 NEWS & OPENINGS!
SPRING 2025 NEWS

We are long overdue for an update, but we are excited to share with you some completed work close to home and further afield! Read below to catch up with us, as a way to slow down … or simply as a form of escape from the intensity of the world these days.

If you are in San Francisco, please join us for an opening of Leviathan at Moscone Center this Thursday May 1st!

See you there!
Nataly & Jason

JUST COMPLETED \\

WEATHERSCAPE: We are thrilled to share pictures of recently completed Weatherscape! Make sure you visit this exciting new children's museum when you are in El Paso, TX. Located on the exterior terrace of La Nube designed by Snøhetta, Weatherscape is an atmospheric sculptural canopy that channels weather conditions triggering optical and material effects. While the overall canopy provides dappled shade and cooling, unique areas are dedicated to wind, water, and sun. Watch the sun move through the acrylic rods of Solaris; the wind activating the magenta anodized aluminum feathers of Vortex and water mist below the turquoise Hydrasphere.

See it in action here! (video by J.Genaro Limon)
METAMORPHOSIS: Spring is here! Those in our neighborhood will be excited to see that the four 'snowpeople' that stood on either side of the 17th Street underpass have shed their winter wrapping (another transformation in their lifetime!)! Each sculptural form emerges from the ground as a solid orb and transforms into a lace-like creature as it reaches for the sky. Special thanks to the Friends of Potrero Gateway Park for the support, vision and perseverance with this project!
FURNITURE: We have ventured into some furniture design and fabrication as a way to test out techniques at different scales. Check out our Nefos table that was at the ICFF in New York. Inspired by clouds and patterns found in nature, Nefos fuses hundreds of steel discs to produce exuberant vaulted forms.

COMING SOON \\

LEVIATHAN:

We believe in our city and the power of art to transform our surroundings and catalyze change. We have partnered with Moscone Center and will be activating one of the vacant storefronts on 3rd Street with Leviathan, a digitally crafted artwork that sits suspended in the space; a powerful and awe-inspiring structure that could be a creature that emerged from the depths of the earth, or a weather system trapped in the space. It is something bigger than us, something that we can collectively view and experience - together.

JOIN US for the public opening on May 1st 6-8pm, 250 3rd Street, San Francisco. No RSVP necessary.

CONTINUUM: Installation in Sunnyvale is complete! We will be photographing Continuum soon to share with you all, but in the meantime here is a quick installation snapshot! Similar to a möbius loop, Continuum was generated by joining two continuously interconnected double curved surfaces around a central opening.

IN OUR COMMUNITY \\

We have been busy in our Dogpatch neighborhood which is rapidly changing since we moved here 12 years ago! Jason and Nataly have been deeply involved in this community and are thrilled that Esprit Park has opened (Nataly was a member of the Community Advisory Group). The 20th Street underpass also opened (Jason has been on the board of the Green Benefit District for the last 6 years). We were also thrilled to lead the painting of a community mural and bring art, color and community participation to our public space. Thanks to all who contributed!

THANK YOU \\

Our special thanks always go to our amazing team of designers, artists, makers and all-round mavericks who design and make beautiful things!

Thank you Brian, Nat, Chris and Ki! We miss you Carlos!
